Arkansas City is being eyed by a national television show.

Small Business Revolution, a television show that was created by Deluxe, according to www.deluxe.com.

This show began by showcasing 100 small business stories from across the country through photo essays, videos and a half-hour documentary.

“We created the Small Business Revolution – Main Street to help those small businesses, and in turn, those small towns, reignite the spark that drives them and keeps people coming back,” the website states.

The town that is selected will see $500,000 of help for small businesses.

Ark City has been nominated enough times that City Manager Nick Hernandez received a phone call from the show.

“Ark City has caught their attention,” Hernandez said. “We need to do whatever we can to get to the second round.”

He encouraged everyone to fill out the survey that nominates towns, which can be found at https://bit.ly/2ynL6f7.

The deadline to enter nominations is 11:59 p.m. Oct. 26.

The Arkansas City Convention and Visitors Bureau is asking for any willing participants to meet from 9:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Oct. 20 to film a short video for the show to consider.

Those who wish to participate are asked to wear black and/or orange.
