The V.J. Wilkins Family Center for the Arts at the Burford Theatre soon will be host to a production called “A Toast to Broadway.”
This production is being produced by the Ark Valley Players (AVP) as a fundraiser for the fledgling drama organization.
“Please join us for a beautiful event benefiting the Ark Valley Players as we share an evening featuring lush Broadway hits sung by south-central Kansas’ best and brightest performers,” said a representative of the production.
Hors d’oeuvres are included in the price of the ticket.
Doors open at 6 p.m. July 14 and seating begins at 6:30 p.m.
The historic Burford Theatre is located at 118 S. Summit St.
The mission of the Ark Valley Players is to inspire, nurture, challenge, amaze, educate, and empower artists and audiences, in order to enrich the cultural life of Arkansas City and the south-central Kansas and northern Oklahoma area, according to the AVP website.
AVP will provide area residents with the opportunity both to attend and participate in quality theatrical productions of a cross-section of the finest theatrical works available.
