South Central Kansas Medical Center recently announced that respiratory therapist Terry Blackburn has been named its Exceptional Service Award winner for the month of May.
The Exceptional Service Award is one of the greatest honors available at SCKMC.
Those who receive the award have been recognized by patients, family members, and coworkers for going above and beyond to provide the highest quality of care possible.
Blackburn was nominated by both a patient and a coworker for her positive attitude and always being willing to help out in other departments.
“(Terry) was very kind and she also explained all we were doing in the process. Very courteous and cheerful,” said a hospital patient who asked to remain anonymous.
Those that would like to nominate a SCKMC employee for next month’s Exceptional Service Award may do so online at www.sckmc.org.
