The Burford Theatre has announced a design contest for its grand opening production.

The theme of the opening production is “Burford Arts Grand Opening: Salute to the Roaring Twenties.”

Those interested in entering the contest must provide an image that can be used as a masthead, while also able to fit on a vinyl banner and be used in various digital formats, including websites and social media. The design must incorporate the logo and the theme, and it must use black, white, gold or sepia colors.

Designs must be submitted in full-color, one-color and two-color vector versions, and be made available in EPS, PNG and JPEG file types.

All files need to be sent to Sarah Bryant, Cowley College director for marketing, at marketing@cowley.edu by 9 a.m. July 15.

The V.J. Wilkins Family Center for the Arts at the Burford Theatre will reserve the right to modify the design and will maintain all copyrights to the image chosen.

There will be a $50 cash prize, as well as mention in news releases, event programs and social media.

The winner also will receive two tickets to the Music Theatre of Wichita’s performance on the weekend of the Burford’s grand opening.

The artist or designer who wins will receive digital and hard copies of all collateral, as well.
