Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy will perform in April at the V.J. Wilkins Family Center for the Arts at the Burford Theatre.
The band, whose sound has been described as “a stagecoach in overdrive,” has brought its eclectic blend of bluegrass, ska, punk, and Dixieland to packed clubs, basements and festivals across the U.S. since its inception in the spring of 2007, according to the band’s website.
Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy hails from Wichita. The band has played in 47 states and five different countries.
From 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. April 8, the band will perform at locally at 118 S. Summit St. Tickets are available through www.arkcityarts.org.
The opening act will be Joel T. Mossman and the Oklahoma Uprising.
Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door.
