Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum will present its annual melodrama fundraiser next week, “Peril on the High Seas, or Let’s Get Together and Do Launch.”
Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. Oct. 6-8. The play will begin at 7 p.m. The tickets are $12, which includes a delicious dessert and drinks.
“Peril on the High Seas” features such characters as a famous actress who wants her fans to thinks she is 25 years younger than she really is; a Hollywood gossip columnist following every step the actress takes; three dipsy and tipsy flapper girls; and a sweet, beautiful and innocent heroine, as well as a debonair, courageous and handsome hero to come to her rescue.
Mix in a couple of villains and a police officer constantly is looking for criminals who keeps forgetting he is on vacation, all stuck together on a ship, and hilarity ensues.
For reservations, call (620) 442-6750. Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum is located at 31639 U.S. 77.
This melodrama is being produced by special arrangement with Englewood, Colorado-based Pioneer Drama Service, Inc.
