Cowley College recently played host to the annual Car(e) Clinic, which was started and put on by Daniel Yocum and volunteers from First Assembly of God Church in Arkansas City.
The clinic was held Jan. 20 at the college’s Walker Technology Building, located at 209 S. Fourth St., and had assistance from students in the college’s automotive program.
The Car(e) Clinic is designed to help the less fortunate in situations in which maintaining their vehicles is not always a possibility. Cowley College houses the clinic twice a year.
“The clinic helps those families with an oil change and quick diagnostic of any future concerns or problems,” said Cowley College automotive instructor Daniel Brooks.
“This service is great for families in situations that need a running vehicle to make it.”
Cowley College volunteers participating in the Car(e) Clinic were Colton Banta, Daniel Brooks, Steven Gregg, Dylan Matthew, Lane Morgan and Dustin Nance.
