Cowley County now offers an alert program that will notify residents about any current, ongoing or upcoming event that might affect their homes.

The Cowley Alerts service is free and voluntary to anyone who chooses to use it.

It currently is limited to weather notifications received from the National Weather Service.

The system will send out alerts based on the user’s geographical location.

Users are able to insert up to five addresses for alerts.

To sign up, visit www.cowleycounty.org and follow the application instructions.

In order to create an account, users will be asked to:

  • create a username and password.
  • provide their name and a registration email address.
  • select the way the alerts will be sent.
  • provide an address to be used to determine what alerts should be sent.

If additional assistance is needed, call (620) 221-5447.
