WINFIELD — With fall semester classes under way at Cowley College’s Allied Health Center, students at the college might experience a double take when walking to their class because the facility recently received new carpet, as well as new paint and artwork on its walls.
The Allied Health Center is located at Baden Square in Winfield. The facility is home to both the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) program and the Allied Health program.
The Allied Health Center offers Paramedic (MICT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program (CCEMTP), classes as well as Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant, pre-nursing, phlebotomy, long-term adult care, medical transcription and pre-athletic training classes.
The EMS and Allied Health programs are dedicated to developing competent, caring, and thinking health care providers through the use of effective learning strategies that graduate qualified professionals in a mutually rewarding atmosphere.
