A total of 246 students participated in Cowley College’s 93rd Commencement exercises May 13 inside W.S. Scott Auditorium.
Along with the conferring of degrees, Bill Docking, chairman of Union State Bank in Arkansas City and City Bank & Trust Company in Guymon, Oklahoma, served as the featured speaker.
Student Senate president Kelli Ailey and Student Senate vice president Kyrstyn Kinzie also addressed the class, as did Outstanding Tiger Alumni award recipient Gavin Kreidler.
The students included summer 2016 graduates through summer 2017 graduates. Students who graduated last summer and last December have received their diplomas. Saturday’s graduates will receive their diplomas in June. A total of 507 students were candidates for graduation.
A reception for graduates, family members and friends was held immediately following the ceremonies at the Earle N. Wright Community Room inside the Brown Center.
