The first job fair will be from 9 a.m. to noon March 1 at the Winfield High School auxiliary gym, located at 300 Viking Blvd.
The Arkansas City job fair will be from 3 to 5 p.m. March 2 in the Wright Room at Cowley College’s Brown Center, located at 215 S. Second St.
Twenty businesses offering a wide variety of positions, including in manufacturing, law enforcement, information technology, construction and a range of jobs in the medical field, will take applications at the two-day event.
Participating businesses include the Arkansas City Police Department, the City of Arkansas City, Conco Construction, Creekstone Farms Premium Beef, Easter Seals Capper Foundation, Express Employment, Four County Mental Health, the Kansas Department of Corrections, Kansas Scribes, KSOK Radio, Mosaic, Preferred Family Healthcare, Life Style Staffing, Skyline Homes, SouthWind ResCare, The Arnold Group, U.S. Cellular, USD 465, William Newton Hospital and Western Industries.
Job seekers are encouraged to attend and come dressed to impress. Local businesses and industries will be on site to accept résumés and applications, and to interview candidates. Free résumé assistance and online job searches will be provided by the Cowley Workforce Center and KansasWORKS Mobile Unit.
Job seekers also can visit with Cowley College, ECCEL, Kansas Army National Guard, Kansas Air National Guard and Small Business Administration representatives at the fairs.
