The Arkansas City Area Chamber of Commerce and many area businesses are preparing for the upcoming Cowley Home and Outdoor Living Festival.
It will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 25 and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 26 in the Agri-Business Building, located at 712 W. Washington Ave.
“This is sure to be a perfect event to get you ready for the outdoor living season,” said chamber director Kammy Downs.
In 2015, the first year the festival took place, there were 400 people in attendance, according to Pam Crain, Ark City Convention and Visitors Bureau director.
The event will be host to more than 30 local exhibitors, including Advanced Lawn and Landscape, of Ark City, and Gottlob Lawn and Landscaping, of Winfield.
Corporate sponsors include PrairieLand Partners John Deere, of Winfield; Grouse Valley Equipment, of Dexter; and Price Brothers Equipment Co., of Wichita.
The event will have children’s activities, a list of local talent entertainers and demonstrations from vendors on both days. It is free for the public to attend.
Concessions will be provided by the Optimists of Arkansas City, who will serve their famous Arkalalah pork burgers, brisket and more.
The event still has openings for local businesses to host a booth. Call the chamber for more information or to register at (620) 442-0230, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
