A fundraiser for the Danny Did Foundation will be held April 22 in Arkansas City.
The fundraiser will be hosted by Miss National Elegant Teen Jodi Furrh. It will include a dance with live music, a silent auction and various gift drawings.
Tickets are on sale for $10 and can be purchased by calling (620) 517-0948. Visitors of all ages are welcome.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Danny Did Foundation, which was founded by Mike and Mariann Stanton, of Chicago, after the death of their 4-year-old son, Danny.
The Danny Did Foundation, according to its website, works toward its mission to prevent deaths caused by seizures with these main goals in mind:
- advancing public awareness of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP);
- enhancing the SUDEP communication model between medical professionals and families afflicted by seizures;
- the mainstreaming of seizure detection and prediction devices that might assist in preventing seizure-related deaths
The Danny Did Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation organized in the state of Illinois and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.
