Jack Dickson, pastor of Shepherd’s Grace Church, will share a Passover Seder supper with the congregation of the Arkansas City church.

“The people of Shepherd’s Grace Church hope you will make this meal a part of your Holy Week preparation for Easter,” a news release states.

A full dinner will be provided as part of the celebration. The meal cost for adults is an $8 donation. Children younger than 8 may eat for free.

The public is invited to attend, and children are welcome and encouraged.

This meal will take place at 5 p.m. March 24 at Shepherd’s Grace Church, located at 1125 S. Summit St.

Reservations can be made by calling (620) 393-0060.

Passover Seder details

Dickson will share the foods of the supper and provide a complete explanation of each one of them as they invite attendees into a deeper understanding of the Last Supper and the promise of Easter.

The Passover Seder is the meal God commands the children of Israel to eat as they remember the mighty acts of God’s redemption when they were freed from slavery from Egypt. Dickson will offer a perspective on how the Messiah, Jeshua (Jesus) is present in that meal.

Dickson has spent time in Israel, learning the customs, traditions and Biblical language of the Hebrew people.

He understands the fulfillment of the Hebrew Bible scriptures in the person of Jesus Christ, and will share his faith and his understanding of salvation in the Passover in a very meaningful way.
