Shopping for groceries is only a mouse click away as Dillons in Arkansas City now offers a home delivery option.

The grocery store has partnered with an outside company, Instacart, to offer the new service.

Once an order is placed, an employee will go to the store at 425 N. Summit St., gather the items selected and bring them to the customer’s door.

This service already is available in more than 190 cities nationwide, but is brand new to Ark City as of Sept. 13.

The service does come with a price tag, however — there is an $11.95 total charge for the convenience of having groceries delivered to one’s doorstep.

Tipping drivers is unnecessary, but customers are welcome to do so should they wish to.

Customers who are interested in using the service must place their orders online at or through the Dillions mobile app.

Deliveries can be scheduled between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. each day.

Dillons Plus cards and coupons that can be loaded onto those cards are valid when purchasing through the Dillons online delivery process.

After the order is placed, an Instacart employee will go to the store, shop for the items and deliver the orders.
