WINFIELD — Easterseals Capper Foundation will be hosting a breakfast in a paradise-themed event this week.
Starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, the Holy Name Catholic Church parish hall at 700 Andrews St. in Winfield will be transformed into a paradise.
Pancakes, sausage, strawberries, watermelon and several other kinds of fruit will be available.
In addition to traditional pancakes, there will be pumpkin pancakes, made from a recipe that was shared recently by Becky Reid.
Raffle items will be on hand, as well, and will include all kinds of gift certificates and other items.
Some of the high-ticket items that are available in the raffle include carpet cleaning and a pass for four at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Winfield.
Last year was the first year the fundraiser was held in Winfield, and nearly 150 people attended. This year, 350 visitors are anticipated.
Adult tickets are $7 in advance or $8 at the door. Tickets for children aged 3 to 11 are $5. Children younger than 3 may attend for free.
Tickets can be purchased here or at the Easterseals office, which is located at 1500 E. Eighth Ave. Suite 201 in Winfield.
Easterseals Capper Foundation is a resource organization for people living with disabilities, veterans, caregivers and families.
The company takes care of approximately 120 individuals in Cowley and Butler counties.
