AT&T will perform a statewide upgrade to enhance Enhanced 911 resiliency at 10 p.m. Feb. 13, according to a news release from Cowley County Emergency Communications.

During this upgrade — which will last until 6 a.m. Feb. 14 — all 911 calls still will be processed locally by Cowley County Emergency Communications personnel.

Dispatchers might have to ask a few more questions to verify location accuracy, however.

If you have an emergency, please do not hesitate to dial 911.

This information was provided by Cowley County Emergency Communications Director Carl Fortner.
