The Arkansas City Farm and Art Market will have a pre-market planning meeting at 5:30 p.m. today.

Anyone who is contemplating joining the Farm and Art Market this year should plan to attend this opportunity to sign up as a vendor for the summer market.

The meeting will be held at the Arkansas City Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau, located at 106 S. Summit St.

New and existing vendors can sign up, pay member fees, and select spaces at this meeting.

Event organizer Brittany Carder will roll out new rules and regulations, discuss fun market events for the upcoming season, and call for a vote on new extended hours. There also will be a discussion with the Friends of Wilson Park concerning master plan fundraising.

“If you’re on the fence, come and listen and ask questions,” Carder said.

The meeting should not exceed one hour in length.

The Arkansas City Farm and Art Market runs from late May to mid-September.

The market will take place every Tuesday afternoon during that period under the rotunda at Wilson Park, located at 701 N. Summit St.
