Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum will be host to a series of classes on genealogy in April.

Genealogy is the study of family history and the tracing of lines of descent.

Museum members can attend the classes for free. All others who wish to participate will be charged $5.

Classes will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturdays in April. Class topics are listed below:

  • April1 — Genealogy for Beginners;
  • April 8 — Using;
  • April 15 — How to Write a Family History;
  • April 29 — Prepare for a Trip to the Cemetery.

The Cherokee Strip Museum has an login available for free to its members.

There also is an extensive genealogy library located at the museum.
