The Golden Tigers is a popular program for men and women aged 50 or older. Classes are offered in September through November.

Those still wishing to enroll for fall classes in the Golden Tigers program can call (620) 441-5286 or email lena.watkins@cowley.edu.

Three educational trips also are planned throughout the fall. The destinations include Coffeyville and Chanute, Wellington and Oxford, and Wichita.

The Golden Tigers also will offer a driver safety class from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 13-14. The class will be held at Room 207 in the Webb-Brown Academic Center.

Ron Upton will serve as the instructor for the class. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members.

The driver safety program is an eight-hour classroom refresher course. Individuals must attend both sessions to receive a certificate.

Insurance companies in Kansas give a discount to seniors on their car insurance upon class completion.
