WINFIELD — The Cowley County Humane Society’s annual fundraiser will be held Saturday night. This year, the theme is “Pawrabian Nights.”
The wine tasting and benefit auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Baden Square, located at 700 Gary St. in Winfield.
While tickets no longer are available online, there will be plenty available at the door for $25 each.
Each ticket provides 10 courses of wine, beer, cocktail and water, and a fully stocked potato bar. There also will be fruits, veggies and desserts.
“We have lots of sweet wines this year,” said a Humane Society representative.
This fundraiser is the Humane Society’s largest fundraiser each year. This year, 1025 The River’s Kelly Dillner will emcee the event.
“We have lots of great auction and raffle items, such as signed KU and KSU balls, a float trip, a Traeger grill package, Southwest Airlines tickets, quilts, ceramics, jewelry, food, gift certificates and much, much more,” Dillner said.
The Cowley County Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter dedicated to providing compassionate care to all pets in its care.
“Our mission is to engage the hearts, hands, and minds of the community, to help animals and (to) provide resources for those who require support for the animals in their lives,” its website states.
The Cowley County Humane Society is located at 7648 222nd Road in Strother Field.
