Moving trucks were at the restaurant Nov. 30 to haul away part of the interior of the building. Whether that was equipment or furniture was unclear.
Ark City residents have been reacting on Facebook since news of the fast food restaurant’s closure by its corporate office surfaced.
Former general manager Sandy Adams responded to some of the posts that appeared. “There was no notice (of the closing),” she wrote.
She said the restaurant had been open for at least 10 years. Prior to that, it had been closed several different times, but never permanently.
Attempts to contact Adams directly were not successful Dec. 1.
A representative of the City of Arkansas City confirmed the closing had nothing to do with the city and there were no code issues known to city officials at the time of the restaurant’s closing.
