McDonald’s Sewing & Vacuum will open in a brand-new location next week.
“We will be officially open there on November 21st, but we won’t be finished moving in,” said owner Patrick McDonald.
The new address is 222 S. Summit St., nestled between U Paint It and K’ an D’ Pharmacy.
There is much more room on the street level for the store’s display space. As an added bonus, there also is a basement space.
Before McDonald’s opens in its new location, it will have one last sewing class in the original store location at 316 S. Summit St.
“We still have openings available for last-minute people. Bring a friend and you both get in free,” McDonald said.
There also are two free gifts available. The first is given only if attendees register for the class.
The new McDonald’s location has a class scheduled for Dec. 3.
Holiday recipe towels will be made. The class has a $59 fee that will cover towel design, two fat quarters and one tea towel.
There also are classes scheduled for Dec. 10 and Dec. 17. More details can be found online at www.mcdonaldsvacuums.com.
McDonald’s shop has been open in Arkansas City since 2002 — serving all of south-central Kansas and northern Oklahoma.
McDonald’s Sewing & Vacuum is the premier dealer for Husqvarna Viking sewing, quilting and embroidery machines.
It also carries quality brands of vacuums such as Miele, Electrolux, Simplicity, Oreck and more.
Notions, bags, belts, filters, parts and accessories all can be found at the store.
McDonald’s also offers service and repair for all makes and models. The store is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
