After five years as Arkansas City’s first full-time OB/GYN, Dr. Perry Lin is expanding his practice to a second location.

In addition to his established practice through the SCKMC Specialty Clinic, located on the South Central Kansas Medical Center campus, Lin now is accepting new patients through South Central Kansas Clinic, located at 515 N. Summit St. in downtown Ark City.

Lin has practiced for more than 20 years, caring for a wide variety of women’s health issues, including obstetrics, gynecology, high-risk pregnancy and laparoscopic surgery.

He is double board-certified as an OB/GYN and in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, making him one of fewer than 1,000 physicians worldwide to be certified at his level.

“The female reproductive endocrinology system is the foundation on which the field of OB/GYN is built, and is among the most complex in all of medicine,” Lin said.

“The subspecialty training has been very helpful in every aspect of my practice.”

Lin will hold office hours at the hospital’s Specialty Clinic on Mondays and Wednesdays, and at South Central Kansas Clinic on Tuesdays and Fridays.

“My approach is to provide information so a patient has an understanding of the situation, and then help her make the best possible decision for herself and for her baby’s benefit,” Lin said.

“I feel it is a great privilege to help bring a new human being safely into the world by simply doing a job I enjoy.”

Referrals from a family practice physician are not necessary with most insurance providers.
