The Arkansas City Police Department is seeking any information in connection with a hit-and-run accident June 11 involving a pedestrian on Summit Street.
An Arkansas City woman was walking across the street in the 1200 block of North Summit Street when she was struck by a vehicle that was southbound on Summit.
A nearby witness reported hearing the vehicle strike something, but did not see what it was.
The witness also reported seeing the vehicle stop immediately, but then it sped off and left the scene southbound on Summit. The vehicle was described as a dark-colored van of unknown make or model.
The 19-year-old female who was struck by the vehicle was transported to South Central Kansas Medical Center, where she was treated for her injuries.
