Eric Kurtz, chief executive officer of Union State Bank, recently announced the election of Renee Price to the USB Board of Directors.
“Renee is a highly respected small business owner who is extremely active within the Ark City and Winfield communities,” Kurtz said.
“We feel fortunate to have Renee join our board at a point in time in which our organization is experiencing continued solid growth.”
Price was born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma. She attended the University of Oklahoma and OU Health Sciences Center, where she earned her doctorate of pharmacy degree and met her husband, Dared.
The Prices briefly resided in Enid, Oklahoma, where they worked for a local pharmacy before having the opportunity in 2010 to purchase the Graves Drug stores in Arkansas City and Winfield. They now reside in Winfield and have three sons — Landon, Preston and Greyson.
Renee Price serves as chair of the Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce and is on the Cowley First Advisory Board, the Young Professionals of Cowley County board, and Mosaic’s Partners in Possibilities Team. She also is a member of the Arkansas City chapters of Rotary and Soroptimist International.
“I am very excited to join Union State Bank’s Board of Directors,” Price said. “My husband and I have been customers of USB since we moved to Winfield in 2010. I am really looking forward to learning about the banking industry and providing my insight to the team at Union State.”
“Renee brings unique experience, expertise and perspective to USB’s Board of Directors,” said Bill Docking, chairman of the board.
“While she lives in Winfield, Renee is deeply committed to public service in both communities. Renee will be very helpful in connecting USB with the new generation of community leaders. We are delighted she has joined USB’s Board!”
