Students in Cowley College’s Academic Civic Engagement through Service (ACES) and Cowley Activity Awareness Team (CAAT) programs, with the help of the Optimists of Arkansas City, will conduct a pulled pork benefit dinner Oct. 18.
Dine-in and carryout meal options will be offered at lunchtime, but dinners are carryout only.
Lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Earle N. Wright Community Room.
Carryout dinners, packaged and ready to go, will be available from 4:30 to 7 p.m. and can be picked up at the north door of the Brown Center.
The meals will include pulled pork, baked beans, cole slaw, bread and chocolate cake.
Tickets cost $10 each, and are being sold by ACES and CAAT students. Those interested in buying tickets should call James Fry at (620) 441-5269.
All proceeds will go toward the next Cowley College food packaging event, in which all of the food that is packaged will help local families.
