Organizers of Relay for Life in Arkansas City already are working on this year’s fundraising efforts.

The group currently is selling miniature storage bags from 31 Bags.

“These would make great bins for all kind of toys for the kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews or adults…,” states a post on the local Relay for Life Facebook page.

“There is even a special Easter basket bin.”

There are eight designs from which to choose — some are colorful and others are monochromatic.

Anyone wishing to purchase a bin can call Jennie Steelman at (620) 660-0364.

“We will be taking orders until February 26,” she said.

There will be a kickoff party to reorganize and plan for this year’s event from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 3 at Pizza Hut WingStreet, located at 422 N. Summit St.

“We are hoping to get team captains, team members, survivors and caregivers there,” Steelman said.

Anyone who would like to be involved with Relay for Life is welcome to attend the kickoff meeting.
