Michael Kevin Shine made his first appearance July 31 in Cowley County District Court in Arkansas City following his most recent arrest last week.
Shine, 33, of Arkansas City, was sentenced to probation July 24 in a second case and had been out on bond in a third case.
Last week’s arrest occurred after Shine allegedly violated the conditions of his bond in that third case.
The case in question concerns a domestic battery that took place June 19, according to the criminal complaint filed against Shine.
This case is still pending, but as a condition of his bond, he was to have no contact with the alleged victim.
Tiffany Marcontell, who also is known as April Shine, is listed as said victim on the court documents.
Arkansas City police made contact with Shine on July 27 after observing him in contact with the alleged victim.
He was taken into custody without incident for violating the protective order.
Shine entered a plea of not guilty for his most recent arrest and requested a jury trial.
This trial is set to begin Oct. 23 in Winfield.
The case in which Shine was serving probation, which dates back to July 31, 2017, was not addressed during his morning appearance July 31.
However, Shine remains in the Cowley County Jail at this time. His bond has been set at $10,000.
