Cowley College will be host to a solar eclipse watch party at noon Aug. 21, followed by a Lines & Lyrics on the Lawn event at 12:30 p.m., at the Calder Bonfy Amphitheatre, located between the Brown Center and Galle-Johnson Hall. The event is open to the public.

Cowley College logoFree eclipse-watching solar glasses will be given on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 9 a.m. Aug. 21 in the Student Life Office. They also will be available at the event.

Cowley College does not accept liability for the solar glasses — use at your own risk.

Cowley College’s Math and Science Club will provide free pizza starting at noon.

Physics students also will offer tours of the labs before and after the solar eclipse.

Students in Cowley College’s Creative Writing class will present original works as part of the Lines & Lyrics event at 12:30 p.m.
