WINFIELD — Incoming Southwestern College students for the fall 2017 semester are encouraged to participate in the scholarship audition day for performing arts, music and theater Feb. 11 in the Richardson Performing Arts Center.

This event is for students in search of financial assistance for their talents and interests in the performing arts.

“This is a chance for students interested in majoring in the many music or theater majors to audition for performing arts scholarships,” said Brian Winnie, director of choral activities and voice at Southwestern College.

“Also, it’s a chance for students who wish to participate in an ensemble or theater as an activity to audition for activity scholarships.”

Auditions for music majors and theater majors will begin at 1 p.m. Students will sign in and be assigned a time.

Auditions for bachelor of fine arts (BFA) musical theater majors and non-music major participants will begin at 2:45 p.m., and students will sign in and be assigned an audition time. There also will be a dance audition for BFA majors.
