Helen and Thomas Docherty’s “The Storybook Knight” is an adorable tale about a knight named Leo who just happens to be a mouse.

The Storybook KnightLeo would rather read, but his parents think he should be off fighting dragons.

When Leo goes on a quest — with his trusty steed Ned — he disarms the creatures he meets with the power of stories.

This illustrated book is 100 percent innocent fun and is written in verse, giving it a great reading rhythm.

It features highly detailed illustrations that are beautifully rendered and there is a great theme running throughout the book.

It was published by Sourcebooks Jabberwocky on Sept. 8.
