WINFIELD — Urgent Care of Cowley County is open now for Cowley County residents’ urgent medical care needs.
It is a full-service urgent care facility, located at 1305 E. 19th Ave. in Winfield, with state-of-the-art digital X-ray, EKG and laboratory facilities.
“The public is realizing that urgent care is a good alternative to the emergency room for non-life-threatening illnesses and accidents,” states a news release from the new urgent care clinic.
Patients can walk in to the clinic with no appointment seven days a week and be seen quickly by an experienced provider.
The clinic is open for extended hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from 1 to 8 p.m. Sundays.
“Our mission is to provide immediate quality and cost-effective health care,” the release states. “We do want to encourage everyone to see their primary care provider for chronic illnesses and check for available appointments, but when life throws the unexpected, we are a convenient and affordable option for the whole family.”
Urgent Care treats a full range of illnesses, from simple upper respiratory infections and earaches to broken bones and lacerations, as well as urinary infections to poison ivy.
The clinic also offers school, sports and camp physicals.
